SpaceX will plan to launch Falcon Heavy Rocket next year: Report

On November 4th, the US Space Force confirmed the use of the Heavy Falcon Rocket to perform the USSF-67 mission. The Heavy Falcon Rocket of SpaceX will launch at least five launches next year.

Moreover, on October 30, the US Space Forces Command spokesperson confirmed that the USSF-67 mission payload will be sent into geosynchronous orbit with a heavy Falcon rocket in the second half of 2022.

This is the third heavy Falcon rocket contract between the US Space Force and SpaceX. Previously, the US Space Force chose the Heavy Falcon rocket to perform the USSF-44 and USSF-52 missions, but due to payload problems, the mission was postponed until next year.

Moreover, Falcon Heavy is the most powerful carrier rocket currently in service. About a month ago, the satellite Internet service provider ViaSat announced that the first ViaSat-3 satellite would travel to geosynchronous orbit on a heavy Falcon rocket as early as the second quarter of 2022. Together with NASA’s Psyche asteroid probe, which will be launched in August 2022, SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy Rocket will send at least five launches next year.

According to the current plan, the heavy Falcon rocket will perform the USSF-44 mission in the first quarter of 2022. This will also be the first commercial launch mission of the Heavy Falcon rocket directly to the geosynchronous orbit. However, the USSF-44 mission has been repeatedly delayed, from the end of 2020, the beginning of 2021, the middle of 2021, and the end of 2021 all the way to 2022. If it is delayed for a few more months, the launch of the ViaSat-3 satellite will be SpaceX’s first commercial launch mission to deliver payloads directly to geosynchronous orbit.

In order to travel to the geosynchronous orbit, the heavy Falcon rocket core boosters that perform USSF-44 missions, USSF-67 missions, and ViaSat-3 satellite missions will be consumed, and the first-stage boosters on both sides of the rocket will be recovered.
