The new design of Microsoft Windows Terminal will adopt Win11 style

According to the latest report, the PR of Windows Terminal’s GitHub page, designer Pankaj Bhojwani said that the new look of Windows Terminal will be similar to Win11’s settings application.

Microsoft’s terminal tool Windows Terminal is designing and developing a new appearance, which will fully adapt to the Win11 style and based on the new WinUI control.

Pankaj Bhojwani also listed the content to be changed:

• Operation page

• Color scheme page

• Delete the pivots implemented in the breadcrumb style in the configuration file

• The text of the toggle switch will be placed on the left, not on the right

The PR will be modified in the branch and then merged into the main branch but did not disclose when it will be officially launched.

Moreover, in Windows Terminal v1.11.2921.0, users can select the default terminal as Windows Terminal on the settings page, and then whether it is CMD or PowerShell, it will run in the new Windows Terminal.
