Moreover, Shenzhou XIII will adopt an autonomous rapid rendezvous and docking mode. The manned mission of Shenzhou XIII is the sixth mission in the key technology verification phase of the space station and the last mission in this phase.

. The main purpose is:

  • Carry out key technology tests for the assembly and construction of space stations such as manipulator-assisted cabin transposition and manual remote operation.

  • Carry 2-3 trips out of the cabin, install large and small robot arms and double-arm combination adapters and suspension devices to prepare for the subsequent space station construction tasks.

  • Further verify the health, life, and work guarantee technology of astronauts staying in orbit for 6 months.

  • Carry out scientific and technological experiments and applications in the fields of space medicine and microgravity physics, and carry out diversified popular science education activities.

  • Comprehensively assess the functional performance of each system of the project to perform space station missions, and the compatibility between systems.

Furthermore, the Tianzhou-3 cargo spacecraft successfully docked with the core module of Tianhe, carrying a large number of living materials, propellants, and a backup spacesuit. The Tianzhou-3, which has been successfully docked, contains women’s clothing, hygiene products, and cosmetics, all specially prepared for female astronauts.
