According to 9to5Mac, a new report from Haitong International Technology Research analyst Jeff Pu claims that Apple supplier TSMC will begin mass production of the new, more powerful “devices” later this year. M2 Pro” chip.

Moreover, the report says Apple will continue to use TSMC as its Apple chip supplier, which is expected to begin mass production of Apple’s new “M2 Pro” chip later this year, which is said to be fabricated on a 3-nanometer process. For comparison, the new Apple M2 chip uses a 5-nanometer process.

Furthermore, Apple claims that the M2’s CPU performance is 18% faster than the M1’s, and graphics performance is 35% faster thanks to the new 10-core GPU. The M2 also supports up to 24GB of memory, while the M1 only supports 8GB and 16GB of memory.

Earlier this year, 9to5Mac learned from sources that Apple has been working on a new Mac mini with the M2 Pro chip, while the company is also working on a more powerful Apple Silicon chip for the long-awaited Mac Pro. Interestingly, Jeff Pu also hinted at a new iPad with a 3nm chip.

In addition, following Ming-Chi Kuo’s claim that Apple’s new AR/VR headset will be available in the second quarter of 2023, Jeff Pu also believes that the device will be released after the Chinese New Year and enter mass production in February 2023.

The analyst also mentioned in his latest report that Apple has plans to use its own modems to build the 2023 iPhones, and he also confirmed rumors that the so-called iPhone 15 Pro will feature an optical zoom periscope-style camera.
