TSMC reportedly plans to construct most advanced chip plant in Singapore
TSMC, the leading semiconductor manufacturing company, is reportedly planning to build its most advanced chip plant in Singapore. This move comes as part of TSMC’s strategy to expand its global production capacity and meet the growing demand for cutting-edge semiconductor chips.
As per the details, this upcoming plant by a specialty contract chipmaker will be the first 12-inch chip facility, aimed at meeting the rising demand for automotive-related chips. TSMC holds a significant stake of 28.3% in Vanguard International Semiconductor.
