OnePlus OxygenOS 12 feature changes: Key changes in Settings after the upgrade

OnePlus has now started rolling out the Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 update to the OnePlus smartphones, starting with the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones.

Along with several new features in OxygenOS 12, the company has also optimized the layout, adjusted the Settings directory, and improved some functions. Let’s talk about some frequently used feature changes in this article:

1. App Cloner:

OnePlus has now renamed the “Parallel Apps” feature to “App cloner” in OxygenOS 12 update. If you want to check the new feature, you need to go to Settings – Apps – App cloner. Check the screenshot below.

2. Do not disturb:

OxygenOS 12 has now moved the location of the Do not disturb feature. You can now find the “Do not disturb” feature under the Settings app. The exact path is Settings – Sound & vibration – Do not disturb. Check the screenshot below.

3. Up to date:

In the OxygenOS 12 update, the “Storage” and “System updates” feature options have been moved to the “About phone” option under the Settings app.

In addition, the “System updates” feature option is now renamed to “Up to date. Check the screenshot below.

4. Wireless emergency alerts:

Just like the above feature, the “Wireless emergency alerts” setting has been moved to the new location. To access the feature, you need to visit Settings – Safety & emergency – Wireless emergency alerts. Check the screenshot below.

5. Data saving:

If you want to manage your data usage, you can go to Settings – Mobile network – Data usage – Data saving. Check the screenshot below.

6. Colors:

If you want to change the accent color, you can go to Settings – Personalizations – Colors. Check the screenshot below.
