For grabbing the latest update to your device, there are two ways. Either you can wait for the OTA update, or you can install the software manually.
OTA Updates
When an OTA update hits your device, it notifies you. You can further, download the firmware through the following steps:
- Go to the Settings > System > System Updates
- Click on Check For Updates
- For the available update, tap on Download & Install now
Update the software manually
- Download the updated software build from the OnePlus official page
- Go to the Settings > System > System Updates
- Click the Settings icon in the top right corner
- Tap on the Local Upgrade
- Find the .zip file and click on the Install button
Points to Remember
- Backup your data before update
- Make sure there is enough battery as well as space in the device before conducting the installation
- It takes about one minute (depending on the file size) to update.
- Once done, reboot your device to boost the latest OxygenOS
