Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 Tip: To hide/show notification icon in your smartphone

In several cases, applications running in the background will leave an icon in the notification bar of the smartphone. This may not seem like a big deal, but it can distract many people.

Some people get used to it, ignore it or accept that the icon will be there forever. However, some people have turned off application notifications so that the icons do not appear in the status bar.

You might think that the only way to stop apps from displaying notifications in the status bar is to turn them off completely. But that is not the case. Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 allows you to “minimize” notifications, so they can be viewed only by raising the notification shade of the phone.

How to hide?

• Open Settings of your smartphone
• Go to Notifications and Control Center
• Click on App notifications
• Find the application whose icon you want to hide
