2nd August 2022 security update released for Galaxy S20 too

Posted on

Samsung Galaxy S20 phone customers have begun collecting the 2nd August 2022 Android security patch update in Europe. The update doesn’t bring any major changes or new feature integration, as per the changelog.

On the other side, it aims at protecting your phone from bugs and viruses therefore downloading it will be beneficial for your phone. In addition, it enhanced your phone’s security in order to keep your private files and data safe and protected.

Whereas, the improved system stability ensures you a seamless performance with no/less app crashing or lagging. That’s not it, Samsung also improves a bunch of One UI stock applications for your Galaxy S20 alongside the 2nd August 2022 update.

The company has upgraded these apps to their latest versions. It should be noted that the changelog provided by Samsung only shows the list of applications and does not mention the changes and improvements they are getting.

You can check out applications that are getting updated with the latest update below.

  1. Samsung Notes
  2. Samsung Internet
  3. Samsung Health
  4. SmartThings
  5. Samsung Members
  6. Samsung Wallet
  7. Calculator
  8. Smart Switch
  9. Voice Recorder

Aside from these, there is nothing that the update log mentions. You can identify the latest software update through the One UI build version G985FXXUEFVH3 which comes in a package size of around 200MB.

Earlier Samsung rolled out the 2nd and 3rd August 2022 security updates for Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 phones respectively. Looks like the company is busy with One UI 5.0 Beta and One UI 4.1.1 stable updates that’s why it hasn’t yet rolled out even a single September 2022 security patch update.

Currently, only Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 phones are running on the One UI 5.0 beta update whereas, the Galaxy S20 series along with Galaxy foldable phones is next in line to get access to the One UI 5.0 Beta program.
