AMD SCSIAdapter 9.3.0.221 update may cause Windows 10 PCs to crash
Several users recently reported that the system malfunctioned after Windows 10 was automatically updated and installed a new driver from AMD. The driver’s name is ” Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.-SCSIAdapter-9.3.0.221 “. Restarting after installation will cause the computer to blue screen and pop up the “INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE” error code.
This version of the driver first appeared in the April update of the Windows preview version, and then pushed to the official versions of Win10 2004 and 20H2. User feedback stated that after installing this driver, restarting the computer again will not be able to enter the system, and blue screen prompts will appear repeatedly.

In the end, the user had to enter the WinRE recovery mode for automatic repair to solve the problem. After testing, this driver bug seems to be limited to some AMD platforms, and the Gigabyte X570 motherboard is the most prone to failure.
If the user finds that the AMD SCSIAdapter 9.3.0.221 driver has been installed, please do not restart the system. You should open the device manager immediately, click the storage controller directory, and then right-click the device to roll back the driver in the properties.
