Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T users are receiving an Android 11 update for Global variants. The new update comes with a bunch of new features and optimizations to enhance the user’s experiences.
Android 12 update comes with the firmware version V12.0.2.0.RCXMIXM, it is currently rolling out for Mi Pilot testers. You can get this update from the link mentioned below.

Xiaomi has started to rollout a new software update with an Android 11 for Redmi Note 8T in Europe. This major update brings a bunch of new features and optimizations to enhance the users experience.
JOIN XIAOMI ON TELEGRAM
The Android 11 comes with plenty of new features such as conversation bubbles, built-in screen recording, one-time permissions, improved 5G support, call screening support, and more.
However, the changelog hasn’t mentioned about the new features but its software package size is 2.5GB, so we can assume that it comes with new features. It is an OTA update so it may take some time/days to reach all the devices.
