Here’s the first look at upcoming Android 12 with huge design changes and new privacy features

Like every year, Google is all set to introduce the latest version of the Android operating system that will be the Android 12. Ahead of the official announcement, Google begins the Developer Previews and Beta testing program of the upcoming Android 12 that is expected to start later this month. Furthermore, Google also provides documentation and source code to the major OEMs for their custom skin development.

According to XDADevelopers, the so-called early draft of a document that Google prepared to show the changes of Android 12 has leaked along with some screenshots of the user interface and system functions. Meanwhile, it is early to confirm the reliability of these alleged screenshots.

As per the leaked screenshots of Android 12, one of them exposes the revamped notification panel. Google has switched the transparent background to an opaque light beige background. The separation between the “conversations” section and the rest of the notifications looks unchanged, while the rounded corners of each notification are now more pronounced.

With the Android 12, the number of the tiles of Quick Settings has been decreased to 4 from 6. The icons of this section become larger compared to the Android 11. Moreover, the position of the date and clock has been exchanged and implemented a new privacy indicator in the upper right corner.

The newly added privacy indicator may be used to display a pop-up at the top of the screen to show the user which app/apps are using the camera or microphone. On the other hand, the new Privacy settings may carry the option to disable the camera and mute the microphone.

One of the alleged screenshots reveals the new “Conversations” widget in Android 12 that may highlight recent missed calls, messages, or activity status. Furthermore, Google is also reportedly planning to make “conversation widgets” a mandatory feature for all Android 12 devices.

However, there is no official information arrived from Google about its plans for the next generation of Android that is Android 12. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we receive something new on this matter, till then stay tuned with us.
