Samsung is now impressing everyone with software updates and we saw it during the rollout of One UI 3.0 and 3.1. The company has recently revised its update policy extending the software support for its Galaxy devices.
The new policy says that every flagship phone and selected mid-range devices that are launched on Android 9 Pie or later will be getting three major upgrades. While the other Galaxy devices will be getting two upgrades.
The South Korean tech giant has unveiled the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 with pre-installed Android 10 based One UI 2.5. Both of these devices have just recently received the latest One UI 3.1 version upgrading to Android 11. After the launch, Samsung has listed them for getting three major upgrades which is quite surprising.

The company is also planning to unveil two new smartphones in the A-series – Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 that will come as the successor of the previous A51 and A71. And as the leaks and the official renderings of these phones suggests, the company will surely bring some of the high-end features to the devices.
If these smartphones will come with high-end features then the company may want to make them stay in the market for a longer time. This is only possible by increasing the number of software updates. The regular security updates are already confirmed for a long time but the company should also take care of the major Android upgrades.
Now as per the latest report by SammyFans, the South Korean tech giant will deliver at least three major Android upgrades to the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72. This means that if these handsets were launched pre-installed with Android 11 based One UI 3.1 then they are eligible to get three OS starting from Android 12.
The users will get new features of up to Android 14 based One UI 6.x on these devices and the regular security updates are always on the top. So, the users can opt for the Galaxy A52 or Galaxy A72 as the maintenance period for them will remain for a longer time.
The upcoming version is Android 12 that will come with the One UI 4.0 and looking at Samsung’s trend the company may also offer the beta program for the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72. Well, as of now, nothing can be said on this matter.
