Apple is in the thought of distinguishing its iPhones with a major A16 upgrade decision. As per Ming-Chi-Kuo, the Pro smartphones will grab the A16 Bionic chip whereas, iPhone 14 and other models that don’t contain the suffix “Pro”, will end with A15.
So far, the American tech giant has categorized its smartphones on two levels. These smartphones have driven over several variations including size, construction materials as well as camera features. However, a new difference that users will experience this year could be related to the performing ability.
Only two Pro models would upgrade to the A16 processor, while the 14 & 14 Max will remain the A15. All four new models will likely come with 6GB RAM, with the difference being LPDDR 5 (14 Pro & 14 Pro Max) vs. LPDDR 4X (14 & 14 Max). https://t.co/tHcszIz6gX

According to the tweets of Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that has been posted recently assures the above statement. Where he has described the annual chip updates that will be in process for the previous as well as upcoming Pro versions. While iPhone 14 and other non-Pro models will be kept on halt for A16. This proves to be a major change for the iPhone series as the company has chosen a similar chipset for the entire tech.
Another major change that users can see around the iPhones is that the memory variant will take a new turn. The Pro models will appear with LPDDR5 while non-Pro will be rooted over LPDDR 4X instead of the regular 6GB. Talking about the memory setup, LPDDR5 contains a data rate that is higher than LPDDR 4X. Moreover, it delivers a power saving of 30 percent.
Apart from the A16 upgrade, the analyst introduced us to the idea of a change in the name of the upcoming devices. The super high-tech versions will have an addition of the word “Pro” in their name. Meanwhile, the normal handsets will remain the same with their name. Further, there will be a difference in the sizes as 6.7 inches and 6.1-inches respectively.
