Starting this week, Apple released the stable iOS 16 version for all iPhone users globally, it’s only the fourth day of the update. Meanwhile, the company has initiated to ship fixes with the beta update for iPhone owners which mentions iOS 16.1 version.

As per the report, iOS 16.1 beta obtains fixes for some issues that iPhone owners were facing with the iOS 16 stable release. As well as it removes support for some apps on your device, iOS 16.1 is currently live for developer beta testers around the world.

Going by the official changelog, the iOS 16.1 beta update is removing Apple Home from the Matter accessory Connected Services menu but the accessory tile will be available just like before there are no changes made to it. Further, the accessory details might not open because the Matter accessory is now unreachable.

Additionally, iOS 16.1 adds support for Live Activities, so if there’s an ongoing event happening in a certain app, the relevant information will surface on your Lock Screen. They also support animations and refresh continuously to make sure you’re up to date with what’s happening.

The Music app on iOS 16.1 has also got enhanced, now at place of the generic AirPlay icon, it includes an icon of the connected audio accessory on the Now Playing screen. That will make your experience more improved and harmonious.

iOS 16.1 beta also introduces the ability to delete the built-in Apple Wallet app. If you change your mind, you could always download it again from the App Store. Apple also aims to reduce your carbon footprint by charging your iPhone with Clean Energy Charging technology during specific hours.

The newest builds can be downloaded via the Apple Developer Center for those enrolled in the test program, or via an over-the-air update on devices running the beta software. Public betas typically arrive within a few days. Developers can update their iPhone to iOS 16.1 by heading to the Settings app, choosing General, then choosing Software update.
