Apple rolling out stable iOS 16 and watchOS 9 for iPhones and Watches
After a long wait, Apple has finally started the stable rollout of iOS 16 and watch OS 9 for its all eligible devices. The update comes with lots of optimizations and a package size of around 3 GB for iPhone users. For watchOS 9, Apple is supporting Watch Series 4 and above.

iOS16 brings several new features and improvements to the device which include completely reimagined lock screen, ability to unsend and edit sent text messages, intelligent cropping for photos, battery percentage indicator and more.
Furthermore, the WatchOS 9 will also add some new fitness tracking features like more metrics for elements, more watch faces to choose from, with richer complications that provide more information and opportunity for personalization.
For your information, the iPhones which support iOS 16 are iPhone 14 series, iPhone 13 series, iPhone 12 series, iPhone 11 series, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone SE Gen 2 and iPhone SE Gen 3.
The update is rolling out in the OTA format and will be avaialble for all eligible devices, we recomend you to download it as soon as it appears on your device. Or you can download it manually if you have the Automatic Updates option turned off.
HOW TO UPDATE TO IOS 16 Manually?
- Go to Settings
- Tap on General.
- Click on Software Update.
- If iOS 16 is available.
- Simply click Install Now at the end.
- Throughout the upgrade, your iPhone will repeatedly turn on and off.
Things to keep in mind before installing iOS 16 update
- Maintain enough storage space available to download and install the update.
- Your phone must have enough battery to install the update.
- Backup all your data in case something goes wrong, your data will be safe.
