When it comes to the old flagship series launched by the Samsung which is based on Android 8, Galaxy S9 and S9 owners have already received two generations of Android upgrades and lost the eligibility to get another one. At the same time, the company fulfilled its promise by providing newer security patches every month.
As per the latest information, Samsung has begun releasing new firmware updates in the Galaxy S9 series. This update has appeared in several markets in Europe, and comes with versions G960FXXUFFUC6 and G965FXXUFFUC6 for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 respectively.
By adding the latest Android and One UI patches released in April 2021, this new OTA enhances the system security of the Galaxy S9 duet. However, with the exception of security improvements, no new features or highlighted modifications are mentioned in the changelog.
In addition, a small number of Galaxy phones, including the Galaxy S21, Note 10 and A52, have begun to seize the April 2021 security patch in taste stages. As usual, it will cross the boundaries of Europe in the coming days/weeks.
Users of these devices can manually check for the update through Settings > Software updates > then click on Download and install.
