A few days ago, Samsung initially pushed the new firmware update to the four-year-old Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. However, Note 8 users in Latin America were to get this software update at that time.
Now, the South Korean tech giant is expanding the scope of this update because Galaxy Note 8 users in Europe will now receive a new update (N950FXXSFDUD1) that contains the latest Android and One UI patches released in April 2021.

As we all know, Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 8 in August 2017 and provided two major Android upgrades. According to the updated policy, this device is no longer eligible to receive any new major Android or One UI upgrades. At the same time, the company also moved Note 8 to get security updates every quarter.
After providing new security patches on a quarterly update basis, Samsung can also release security updates once every two and a half years, because Samsung promises to send security updates for Galaxy devices for four years.
