August 2023 MIUI update now live for POCO X5 5G

After getting available for the Pro model, the August 2023 security update is now live for the POCO X5 5G devices. The latest firmware will enrich the core mechanism of the system and enhance its security and stability for a better user experience.

Additionally, it will also protect the device from harmful threats, viruses, and other safety-related vulnerabilities for secure interpretation. Owners of POCO X5 5G will be able to identify the August 2023 security update via the MIUI build version V14.0.5.0.TMPIDXM.

Furthermore, the update is currently released in Indonesia and will expand to more region users in the coming days or weeks. Also, it’s an incremental rollout, so it may take some time to cover all the eligible models in the country.

In case you don’t want to wait for the OTA, then check and install the update manually by following some simple steps. Go to the Settings of the phone, now tap on the About Phone, and click System Update. Now, press the MIUI version and let the system fetch a new version, once done hit the Download button and install the update.
