Samsung is now releasing the latest April 2023 camera update for the carrier-locked Galaxy s22 models in the US. Notably, the update was already out for many users including the unlocked models. However, the remaining users should not get panic, as you are next in the row.
The carrier-locked models of Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra are grabbing the new camera and gallery optimizations with April 2023 update through the build version S901USQU2CWCF, S906USQU2CWCF, and S908USQU2CWCF respectively.
Being a security patch the update will optimize the performance of your Galaxy S22 lineup and improve the overall security and stability in order to provide seamless performance. Additionally, it also fixes over 50 exposures and vulnerabilities for a seamless interpretation.
April 2023 camera update
The latest update will add a new function to the Gallery that lets you quickly delete photos that are processed by the camera right after they’ve been taken. It further optimizes the video mode and you will now enjoy a more improved sharpness/flicker when shooting ultrawide in low light indoors.
In addition, the update will also resolve some camera issues including the green lines, banding noise, blurring, malfunction when Scene optimization is off, Super Steady function, and the major issue where face recognition could not be recognized intermittently after ending third-party video calls.
How to update
Thus, if you are in the US then you can check and download the update manually. To do so, visit the Settings of your Galaxy device and tap on the Software and Update section. Here look for the latest version, once you find it, hit the Download button and Install the update.
