OnePlus has started rolling out the Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 1 to the OnePlus 9 series users.

OnePlus and Oppo have already confirmed that they will share the custom ColorOS 12 Android skin in future smartphones. OnePlus has already started updating its smartphones with ColorOS 12 in China, where the company previously was using Android-based HydrogenOS.

In the latest development, the international version of the OnePlus 9 Pro is now spotted running Android 12-based ColorOS 12. The device is an Indonesian model of the OnePlus 9 Pro with 12GB RAM.

This is surprising that the company is testing the ColorOS 12 on the international variants instead of OxygenOS 12, which means we could soon see the ColorOS 12 on the international OnePlus models. Sorry, OxygenOS!
Oppo has already shared the ColorOS 12 rollout roadmap for the Oppo and OnePlus devices in China. Based on that roadmap, the OnePlus 9 series will get the ColorOS 12 early access this year and other eligible models will have to wait until the first half of 2022.
