Huawei’s first 5G smartphone – Huawei Mate 20 X 5G is powered by dual 7nm Kirin 980 + Balong 5000 chips. From the software side, this smartphone launched with EMUI 9.1 (Android 9) and the company decided to give it an upgrade to the latest version of its smartphone OS.
According to the Huawei Central, this 5G phone in Europe is getting the EMUI 10 upgrade, bringing the new Morandi color system, Magazine style user interface design, new animations, newly added features such as Dark Mode, and a focused and improved user experience.

The EMUI 10 for Huawei Mate 20 X 5G comes with version 10.0.0.187 and weighs 4.35GB. On the other hand, its 4G version got the same update with EMUI 10.0.0.180.

Vodafone sending faster EMUI 10 updates:
Notably, Vodafone in Europe is rolling out EMUI 10 updates faster than any other telecom. For instance, Vodafone UK rolled EMUI 10 for P30 and Mate 20 series ahead of Three, O2, EE.
However, we don’t have information that other telecoms are also sending the same update for this model. Meanwhile, the potential rollout date of the latest EMUI version in the UK is scheduled for February this year.
