Several Huawei devices have already received the December 2020 security update and now these security improvements are rolling out for Huawei Nova 7i users. The update mainly brings the latest security other than adding new features to the device. (Via – Huawei Central)
Talking about the EMUI 11, Huawei has ended the EMUI 11 beta program for its eligible devices in China while the global variants are still under beta testing. It is expected that the company will soon release the stable EMUI 11 version in the coming days and conclude the EMUI 11 testing program.
The Huawei Nova 7i smartphones are currently running on the EMUI 10.1 version and it is disappointing that these smartphones will not be getting the EMUI 11 although these devices have the ability to support the new features of EMUI 11.

Users can easily identify this latest firmware with the EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.283 that carries an update size of 165MB. It is important to note that the new update is rolling out in batches, so it may take some time to reach your device.
How to update:
Download via Settings:
- Open Settings
- Click on the System & updates
- Open Software update
- Tap on Check for updates option
- If an update is available, click on Download and install
- After installation Reboot the device
Download via Support app:
- Open the Support app on your device
- Go to the Service tab
- Click on the update button
- Tap on Check for update option
- If an update is available, click on Download and install
- After installation Reboot the device
