Huawei is sending a new software update for Huawei P40 Lite 5G users, which installs security patches released in February 2021. It fixes various levels of exploits and problems to provide a higher level of protection.

Apart from this, Huawei P40 Lite is one of the best selling smartphones of Huawei. Due to its popularity, the company released the model under different names in different regions and introduced the 5G variant.
It is noteworthy that Huawei P40 Lite, P40 Lite 5G, and similar models such as Nova 7i, Nova 6 SE are compatible to run on the latest custom operating system, EMUI 11. However, the current EMUI 11 status of these devices has not been confirmed.
On the other side, Huawei is about to end its EMUI 11 major update globally, but the company has not clarified whether these smartphones will get this update. Huawei P40 Lite 5G users have been waiting to experience the new user interface and features of EMUI 11. They are now really disappointed and still waiting for the hope that Huawei might do something for them.
