According to the latest news (Via – Huawei Central), the smartphone is now receiving a new update that brings improvements for the camera stability, video shooting experience, and optimizations for the WeChat application.
Currently, this new firmware for Huawei Mate 40 is rolling out for the users in China and will soon expand to other regions as well. Users can identify this update from the EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.120 SP1 that is updated from EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.115.

Here’s how to update:
Download via Settings:
- Go to settings
- Click on System & updates
- Then open software updates
- Tap on the check for updates option
- Then download and install the update, if available
- After installation, reboot the device
Download via Support app:
- Open support app on your device
- Go to the service tab
- Click on the update button
- then tap on Check for update option
- Click on download if the update is available
- After the download, reboot the device for installation
