Samsung is rolling out the February 2024 security update to the Galaxy S23 series users in Europe, following its release in the US and Korea. The update brings improvements to the stability and security of the devices, as well as fixes for various vulnerabilities.
The update is available for the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra models in Europe and can be identified by firmware versions S911BXXS3BXAD, S916BXXS3BXAD, and S918BXXS3BXAD respectively.
The February 2024 security update includes patches from both Google and Samsung. The Google patches address 79 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) items, of which 3 are leveled as critical and 76 as high.
The Samsung patches fix eight Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items, which are specific to Samsung’s devices and applications. These patches aim to protect the devices from potential threats and exploits.
Users can check for the update manually by going to Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install on their phones.
