Google Android 13 Beta 4 is now released, official rollout is next

After releasing three beta phases of Android 13, Google is rolling out the Android 13 beta 4 or the final beta (TPB4.220624.005) update to eligible Pixel smartphones, including Pixel 4 (XL), Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel started. 5A, Pixel 6, and Pixel 6 Pro.

This beta is the last update for you to test and develop Android 13 OS, it brings various new improvements and bug fixes. Last week, eligible Pixel smartphones received the latest July 2022 security update with VoLTE calling.

The company said that the Android 13 update is just a few days away from its official release. Google may release the stable version for Pixel users next month. The Android 13 beta program will now be gradually released to more Android devices.

With Google’s Android Beta 4 update, you’ll get release candidate builds for your final testing. Once you’ve completed testing, you should release compatible updates for your apps, SDKs, libraries, tools, and game engines to ensure that users upgrading their devices around the final release have a good user experience.

  • Developer-reported issues
    • Fixed an issue where on some devices, paired Bluetooth devices could be observed to connect and disconnect from the device rapidly.
    • Fixed an issue where the Google Camera app occasionally crashed on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices.
  • Other resolved issues
    • Fixed an issue where, when a user checks for system updates by navigating to Settings > System > System update, the system incorrectly reported Android 12 as the device’s Android version. Even when the device was already successfully updated to an Android 13 build.
    • Fixed an issue on Pixel 6/6 Pro devices where the Now Playing page sometimes got stuck on Downloading song database.
