Google launched the April 2021 Android security update announcement and started rolling out updates to supported Pixel phones. Developers can now view the April 2021 Android Security Bulletin that details multiple security vulnerabilities.
These vulnerabilities affect open source components, as well as some closed source components from vendors such as Qualcomm and MediaTek. The announcement also mentioned some vulnerabilities for Google Pixel phones.
The vulnerability is classified as “medium” and will affect the Android framework and Qualcomm location/GPS implementation of Pixel phones.
Additionally, Google also fixed some user-oriented issues in the latest update of Pixel phones and improved the camera quality of third-party applications.
