Huawei sending a new HarmonyOS 2.0.0.245 software update for the P50 Pro smartphone. This update has new improvements for the Super Device, which is recently been noted on Huawei Mate 40 series as well. These improvements are rolling out for the consumers in China and will come into effect only via OTA update.

The latest Huawei P50 Pro software update has improvement for the super device feature. The Super device feature allows you to connect and control multiple HarmonyOS devices via one super device. This lets’ form a seamless AI-powered Huawei device ecosystem.
Currently, Huawei P50 Pro HarmonyOS 2.0.0.245 update is rolling in batches and could be downloaded via Settings > System & updates, followed by Software updates, and hereafter, you need to follow the on-screen instructions to initiate the software update process.
Note that Huawei P50 Pro users will have to wait while the phone starts to install the software, as the entire process may take some time to download and unpack the software package on the device.
There’s more to explore in the changelog but there’s a new AOD theme the Chinese tech maker is seeding with this new HarmonyOS version.
HarmonyOS 2.0.0.245 changelog:
- Super Device: Added support for connecting with some Huawei watches, wristbands, and MateView, which can be easily connected with one click
- Theme: Added a new dynamic theme of “Danxia”, from Always on display to lock Screen, and then to the home screen, coherent dynamic effects connect each screen, visual agile and unified.
- Settings: Auxiliary function Added “Elderly Care” setting interface, which is convenient for you to complete the settings of extra large fonts, touch delay, and other related functions on the same interface.
- Games: Optimize the anti-mistouch operation experience of the game scene.
- Security: The security patch is incorporated into the March 2022 security patch to enhance the security of the mobile phone system.
This update has a lot of new features and will help the consumers to get the most out of their Huawei P50 Pro smartphone.
