Breaking the expectation of Huawei, the HarmonyOS continues to establish new milestones. Speaking of software upgrades, the company has just completed 120 million HarmonyOS installations among smartphone consumers. He Gang, President of Huawei Consumer Business Product Line confirmed this news and brought it in front of us during the Nova 9 series launch event.
However, Gong Ti, President of Huawei Consumer Business Group Software Division has his own thoughts on this matter. He said, a new generation of smart device operating systems, HarmonyOS has been born for the internet of everything era.
HarmonyOS is more than just an operating system, the new OS brings many features and a cross-device user experience that with rich user experience and filled with broad innovations.
“We hope that HarmonyOS becomes the operating system a base for the next generation of mobile internet,”

Huawei HarmonyOS Upgrade Speed: 1 million daily installations
According to the latest data, since the launch of HarmonyOS 2.0 for smartphones on June 2, 2021, over 1 million users have been upgrading each day on average. This is a huge revealing but it’s not surprising compared to the speed that every Huawei smartphone owner wants to upgrade with this new mobile operating system as soon as it’s available for them.
Today, Huawei has also shared some exciting information that mentions HarmonyOS for winning the Leading Science and Technology Achievement Award” at the 2021 World Internet Conference.
Furthermore, Huawei has been partnered with over 400 app and service partners, 1700+ hardware partners, and 1.3 million+ developers in the develop the HarmonyOS ecosystem
Near Future Target:
This year, Huawei has aimed to install HarmonyOS in around 300 million devices by the end of this year, and it could be easily achieved if Huawei puts this new mobile software on all of its sold devices in the market. The fuel of exciting new features will further help the Chinese tech maker to ramp up software upgrades on the eligible devices.
