New HarmonyOS 2 update for Huawei Mate X2 brings system optimizations

Huawei Mate X2 folding phone running HarmonyOS 2 is now getting another beta update that optimizes and improves as per the user’s feedback. However, the beta activity is currently limited to China and soon it will expand to other regions as well.

It is worth mentioning that the Huawei Mate X has already received the stable version of the HarmonyOS 2.0 and the company is still sending the beta updates. This device was one of Huawei’s initial one which started receiving the public beta in June just after the announcement of the new HarmonyOS 2.0.

As the changelog suggests, the new firmware update for the Huawei Mate X2 brings optimizations for calendar interfaces and improves the sound effect of Bluetooth headsets in gaming scenarios. Besides these improvements, there are non-others noticed in the changelog that that’s linked below.

Huawei Mate X2 users can identify the new software update with HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.136 upgraded from version 2.0.0.127. Also, do note that this firmware is currently rolling out to Huawei developers who participated in the initial developers beta testing. It will soon expand for the general users in the coming days.

Following the first beta on June 2, the company has released several betas builds for the eligible devices and it is rapidly increasing the beta program to more devices. Meanwhile, the Chinese OEM has also seeded the first stable version of the HarmonyOS 2.0 for its 18 topmost devices including the Mate 40, P40, Mate 30, Mate X2, and MatePad Pro.

What’s New:

  • Update package 1: Optimize the content display of the calendar interface
  • Update package 2: Optimizes the sound experience of Bluetooth headsets in some game scenarios.
