Huawei has begun sending a new HarmonyOS update for the Huawei P30 lineup. This update contains a big changelog to define the number of optimization and changes that are being installed this time.
The Huawei P30 (ELE-AL00), P30 (ELE-TL00), P30 Pro (VOG-AL00/VOG-AL10), and P30 Pro (VOG-TL00) are the models which will get this latest update with the HarmonyOS 2.0.0.209 version in China.
As for the global models, the company has announced the EMUI 12 rollout to let the users taste the powerful capabilities of the software system. Although the rollout has been confirmed, it’ll initiate from the first half of 2022.

- Service Center: Adds Service combos to the Discover tab in Service Center (which you can access by swiping up from the bottom corner edges of the screen), allowing you to add service combos to the home screen to use scenario-specific widgets.
- Task Center: Adds the multi-device task management feature to Task Center, allowing you to view, manage, and transfer previous tasks from other devices that support Task Center, are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and are logged in to the same HUAWEI ID. You can access Task Center by swiping up from the bottom of the screen and holding it.
- Service Widgets: Adds the people album service widget (you can add it to your home screen by swiping up on the Gallery app icon) which loops photos of the person you select. Touch the avatar in the top corner to switch to another person, or touch a photo to open the album of the selected person.
- Input methods: Adds a shortcut icon that you can touch to download and use Celia Keyboard directly.
- AI Voice: Optimizes the Al Voice feature.
- System: Improves the user experience with basic operations, including touch and volume control, and adds support for enlarging home screen icons. Optimizes the system power consumption in certain situations.
Here’s How to Download the Update:
To manually download the new HarmonyOS update, go to Settings of Huawei P30 and then System & updates, thereafter open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
Remembrance:
You must remember to keep a backup of your data to prevent the loss of important files on your device. Furthermore, keep an adequate level of battery backup on your phone to prevent battery outage during the installation. Once started, it may take some time to process the update and install it on the device.
