Honor 20 Youth Edition getting September 2020 security update

A new update is rolling out for Honor 20 Youth Edition, which brings the security patch released in September 2020 that improves the system security and fixes different level exploits and issues that includes 3 critical and 19 high-level CVE’s.

Last week, Honor 30 Youth Edition received the September 2020 security update with a new Multi-screen collaboration function which provides easy file transfer between PCs and tablets.

NEW VERSION:

  • Honor 20 Youth Edition upgraded to EMUI 10.1.0.147 from EMUI 10.1.0.146

  • The update will not erase any data
  • It may take some time to reach your device
  • Maintain enough storage and battery
  • If possible, connect to WiFi

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device
  2. Click on system & updates
  3. Click on the software update
  4. Check for updates
  5. Click on the download button
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen
  8. Reboot the device

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device
  2. If not installed, download it from the play store
  3.  Open service tab
  4. Tap on update
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen
  9. Reboot the device
