Honor 20S receiving September 2020 security update (MagicUI 3.1)

September 2020 update has now started to roll out for Honor 20S, which brings new security patches for better security. It fixes out 3 critical and 19 high-level CVEs. Recently, Huawei Mate 20 X (5G) also received September security improvements.

  • Honor 20S upgrade to 10.1.0.94 from 10.1.0.92 in China.

  • The update will not erase any data.
  • Sometimes update size may vary.
  • Maintain enough storage and battery.
  • If possible, connect to Wifi.

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings in your device.
  2. Click on system & updates.
  3. Click on software update.
  4. Check for update
  5. Click on the download button.
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
  8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

  1. Open Support app in your device.
  2. If not installed, download it from play store.
  3.  Open service tab.
  4. Tap on update.
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button.
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen.
  9. Reboot the device.
