Honor X10 receiving September 2020 security patch (MagicUI 3.1.1.176)

Honor X10 getting September 2020 security update which improves system security. This update mainly fixes a different level of exploits and issues which include 3 critical and 19 high-level CVE’s.

However, Honor has already started recruiting its flagship devices for MagicUI 4.0 beta testing and released its first beta software update for several Honor smartphones. Still, there is no information regarding the MagicUI 4.0 beta testing for Honor X10 users.

POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE UPDATE:

  • The update will not erase any data.
  • Maintain enough storage and battery.
  • If possible, connect to Wifi.

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device
  2. Click on system & updates
  3. Click on the software update
  4. Check for updates
  5. Click on the download button
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen
  8. Reboot the device

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device
  2. If not installed, download it from the play store
  3.  Open service tab
  4. Tap on update
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen
  9. Reboot the device
