Huawei Enjoy 9 began getting September 2020 security update

Huawei has released a new software update for Huawei Enjoy 9 running on EMUI 8.2. This new update installs the September 2020 security patch, which improves the system security and fixes a different level of exploits and issues that includes 3 critical and 19 high-level CVE’s.

Recently, Huawei Enjoy 10e running on EMUI 10.1 received the September 2020 security patch that enhances the system security and improves overall device performance.

  • The update will not erase any data
  • It may take some time to reach your device
  • Maintain enough storage and battery
  • If possible, connect to WiFi

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Click on system & updates.
  3. Click on the software update.
  4. Check for update
  5. Click on the download button.
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen.
  8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device.
  2. If not installed, download it from the Play store.
  3.  Open service tab.
  4. Tap on update.
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button.
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen.
  9. Reboot the device.
