Huawei releases HarmonyOS July 2021 security patch details for smartphones

Huawei recently released the July 2021 security update details for its devices running on EMUI software. Now, the company also listed the fixes for HarmonyOS powered devices of the same July month. Though, both the EMUI and HarmonyOS powered devices are yet to get these latest security improvements.

The HarmonyOS based security updates are limited for the Chinese users and the global users will get the EMUI based July 2021 patch. However, the company will soon announce its global rollout plan for HarmonyOS 2.0.

Huawei has introduced its own security bulletin against Google’s Android. Just like the Android, it will carry different levels of fixes and exploits categorized as Kernel, Framework, System, Apps, and Third Party library.

As per Huawei, the July 2021 update describes the security vulnerabilities that have been fixed by the security patch level 2021-07-01 and it will affect the Huawei devices that run the new HarmonyOS. More details of this software are listed below.
