Huawei has started sending the latest February 2022 update for its foldable Huawei Mate Xs smartphone, and the update will enhance the device’s security and stability for better performance. And further, it can also bring some minor optimization and fixes for the device.
JOIN HarmonyOS ans EMUI ON TELEGRAM
The latest February 2022 update is reaching Huawei Mate Xs with upgraded HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.223. Meanwhile, the required base HarmonyOS build number is 2.0.0.222.
Last month, the global model of Huawei Mate Xs has been upgraded to EMUI 12 software system even without beta testing. Further, it has also grabbed the February 2022 EMUI security patch for improved system security.
Now, Huawei is shifting its focus to HarmonyOS 3.0 from EMUI 12 rollout. As per the reported timeline, the HarmonyOS 3.o internal beta testing will start this month. Also, we can hope to get the hands on stable HM OS 3.0 in July 2022 on flagships.
How to update:
Via Settings:
- Open Settings on your smartphone
- Tap on System & Updates
- Tap on Software Updates
- Click on Check For Updates
- Press the Download and Install option
- Reboot the device
Via My Huawei app:
- Open My Huawei app
- Visit Update Section
- Follow on-screen instructions
Note: Create a backup of your important data. However, the update will not erase your data but it’s good to have a backup. Also, check your device must have a 30% or above battery and have 400MB free space. For buffer-free update download, use a WiFi network connection.
