Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8 new update adds feature to service widget, brings optimizations

Huawei has started releasing a new update for the Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8-inch powered by the new HarmonyOS 2.0. According to the info, this firmware carries HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.130 upgraded from version 2.0.0.103/2.0.0.107.

It is worth mentioning that the Huawei MatePad Pro is the company’s first tablet to be equipped with HarmonyOS. It’s a flagship tablet that comes with several high-end features such as Snapdragon 870, 7250mAh battery, 4 microphones, 5 speakers, and more.

The new update for the tablet brings added functionalities to the service widgets and several optimizations for the service center and system stability. Further, it also brings stability to the device for a better user experience.

All of these latest optimizations for the MatePad Pro 10.8-inch tablet are rolling out for the Chinese variant. The company should soon expand for the global ones as well. Check the changelog and how to download the steps below.

But before installing, do take a backup of your data and use a stable connection to download it. Also, do not panic if the update hasn’t arrived on your device. As it’s a staged rollout, so it may take some time to reach over the air.

What’s New:

Service Widget: Added support for a gallery, camera application, slide-up application icon to generate service widget. You can select the size of the widget, drag it to change the position, and change the personalized desktop.

Service Center: Optimizes the experience of the service center.

System: Optimize the system stability of some scenarios.

How to check for updates?

Via Settings

You can update your device via Settings > System & updates > Software updates > Check for updates and lastly (If the update appears) then click on Download and install. After installation restarts the device to optimize the applications.

Via Support app: 

This is an alternate method to download the update on Huawei devices through Support app. For that go to Service tab > Update > Download and install > and then finally Install.
