Huawei started rolling out the May 2022 security patch for its various devices, and now the company is expanding this patch to the Huawei P40 Pro smartphone. Huawei P40 Pro May 2020 security patch is currently rolling out for devices with EMUI 12 software update.
Huawei P40 Pro users with EMUI 12 can start installing the May 2022 security patch along with EMUI 12 version 12.0.0.246. This update improves the overall security of the devices, therefore, we recommend that you install the software update on the Huawei P40 Pro smartphone in the global market.

You can get this update by navigating the phone’s settings menu, then system & updates, software updates and followed by CHECK FOR UPDATES. If an update is available then download and install it.

Huawei P40 Pro has started receiving February 2022 security update. That comes with EMUI 12 version 12.0.0.228 and you will have to download an update package size of 327 megabytes.
The Huawei P40 Pro February 2022 software update is rolling out for the Huawei P40 Pro smartphones running EMUI 12 software. To be noted, this software update is released in batches. Therefore you may need to wait to install this firmware version on your device.
The most interesting thing about this software rollout is related to the EMUI version, which is EMUI 12. The software update has been recently been seeded to the flagship models including Huawei Mate 40 Pro and P40 series.
