July 2021 security patch is now available for the Galaxy Note 20 series

Samsung is continuously expanding the July 2021 security patch rollout to the flagship smartphones. The latest entry is the Galaxy Note 20 series.

Recently, Samsung sent the latest security patch to the Galaxy Note 10 series, Galaxy S10 series, and Galaxy S20 series in select regions, and now the rollout has begun for the Galaxy Note 20 devices. Along with the July 2021 patch, the company brings a new improvement for the devices.

As per the information, there’s an updated QR code scanner.  Sammobile said:

“Instead of simply opening the camera app when you tap the QR Scanner toggle in the notification shade, you now get a dedicated QR scanner app that was first introduced on the Galaxy S21 series. In addition to scanning QR codes with the camera, you can open QR codes saved in the device gallery”

At this moment, the update is limited to some regions but soon will be available in more regions. In addition, we don’t have details of the security patch, as the company didn’t yet reveal the information about the July 2021 security fixes.

If you live in the eligible regions, you can check for the latest software update by heading into the device Settings, tap on the Software update menu and then go for the Download and install option.
