Honor has released the latest software update for Honor 8A users, which improves the system security via Android patches released in June 2020. Currently, this device runs on EMUI 9.1 and now getting the new security update.
The June 2020 security update installs Android patches from Huawei and Google, fixing different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 2 critical and 12 high levels of CVEs. There is no Medium and Low level of CVEs found.

Honor 8A is receiving the June security update with EMUI 9.1.0325 (C521E8R1P9). Users will have to download an 80.74MB software package to install this update.
Important: Software version, size, and rollout availability could be different in different countries.
