Xiaomi has geared up the June 2023 Android security update rollout process and seeding a total of three Redmi Note 12 devices, including Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and Note 12 Discovery Edition 5G. Therefore, the remaining models of the lineup will also acquire the patch soon.
It’s a monthly security patch that seeks to fulfill the requirement of the device and make it effective with up-to-date technology advancements and protocols. The latest firmware also works to maintain the reliability and stability of the system by protecting it from harmful threats and vulnerabilities.

Going toward the details, the June 2023 update for Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and Note 12 Discovery Editon is currently rolling out in China. Additionally, the patch carries an installation package of 5.4GB and can be determined via the MIUI build version V14.0.1.0.TMOCNXM.

Consequently, the update is rolling out through the OTA over-the-air method in China, thus it will take some time to cover all the eligible units. In case you don’t want to wait for the OTA, then check and upgrade the device manually via Settings > About Phone > System Updates > MIUI version > Download & Install.
Note – Keep your device changed at least 30%, for more secure and uninterrupted downloading. Use a stable Wi-Fi connection for downloading, instead of a regular data pack, and prepare a backup of all the important data.
