Samsung launched the new TWS wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Pro along with Galaxy S21 series phones. These new earbuds come with excellent call quality, immersive sound, intelligent ANC (active noise reduction) function, and enhanced connectivity across devices.
Also, the company has released a number of firmware updates with new and improved features to the latest wireless earbuds. Now, the company has initially released the latest software update to Galaxy Buds Pro users in South Korea, which brings the most anticipated features.
According to official information, this new version of the Galaxy Buds Pro update has a “double-tap earbud edge” function, which allows users to adjust the earbud’s volume by tapping twice on its edge. After upgrading the earbuds, you can find this feature in the “Galaxy Wearable App > Lab” section.
Software update details:
- Galaxy Buds Pro: R190XXU0AUD5
- Galaxy Buds Pro Plugin: 2.0.21042351
The new features included in this update work only when both the Galaxy Wearable and Galaxy Buds Pro’s firmware are updated to the latest.

Changelog:
- New function added in’Laboratory’
- Double tap the edge of the earbuds
- Change the touch and hold concept and apply the stabilization code
- ANC motion/conversation detection related stabilization code applied
- Application of stabilization code related to terminal operation
Tap twice to increase the volume, and tap twice to decrease the volume. The shape of the earbuds is slightly different from that of Buds+, so the guidance of the guide screen is slightly different, but according to each situation, tap a part of the earbud itself instead of touching the area, the operation is the same.
In the long-press setting, ANC <-> Ambient is provided so that the function can be switched, but why not provide the close function? This is a bad thing, you have raised a lot of whips. For various reasons, the long-press function cannot provide operations, but other options are provided so that you can choose other combinations.
How to update:
- Go to the Galaxy Wearable app
- Select Earbuds Software update
- Then tap on Download and install
