Google announced the latest Android 11 back in September 2020 which comes with many new features and some major UI changes. Just after its release, other OEMs have also started to test their own custom skin-based operating system.
Now, LG has released the rollout schedule of Android 11 for its European users. Currently, it is testing the software upgrade of LG VELVET 5G, VELVET 4G, LG G8X, LG G8S, LG Wing, LG K52, and LG K42 smartphones.

- LG VELVET 5G (LMG900EM) – until April 2021 – Testing
- LG G8X (LMG850EMW) – until Q2 2021 – Testing
- LG VELVET 4G (LMG910EMW) – until Q3 2021 – Testing
- LG G8S (LMG810EAW) – until Q3 2021 – Testing
- LG WING (LMF100EMW) – until Q4 2021 – Testing
- LG K52 (LMK520EMW) – until Q4 2021 – Testing

Compared with other mobile phone brands, LG has made slow progress in launching Android 11 upgrades. The company began testing the Android 11 beta version in December and launched an update for LG VELVET 5G users in South Korea in January.
LG V60 ThinQ 5G became the first mobile phone outside the domestic market to receive this update. It used the latest Android version last month. LG has not confirmed the Android 11 upgrade schedule for other markets.
On the other hand, Android 11 comes with several new features and improvements such as Chat Bubbles, one-time permissions, better privacy controls, notification history, screen recorder, and more.
