Apple macOS versions have a fixed time to appear on the user’s ground. For the past few years, the company has been releasing major upgrades for Mac users in October or November. However, things may change with macOS 14 and Apple could release the stable version in September.
The assumption has been made by the well-known iOS updates tracker account on X (Twitter) – iSWUpdates, based on the progress of beta testing. Eventually, the handle says that the macOS 14 beta 7 ends with an ‘a’ letter, compared to the previous software where the build number ended with an ‘f’.
Note that the version ending with an earlier letter in the alphabet hints that the software has inched closer to the stable phase. Thus, we can expect that Apple will release the macOS 14 stable upgrade in September without any further delays.

The last macOS version that showed up on the platform in September was – macOS Mojave. Thereafter, the company fixed the timeline for late October. Let’s see how much more we have to wait to grab the official macOS 14 upgrade.
