Apple macOS 14 Sonoma is still in the development phase though it promises to simplify several things for Mac users. The latest information reveals that the macOS 14 software will make restoring an Apple Mac in DFU mode easier.
So far, reviving a Mac under macOS Ventura often demands a second Mac device that has the pre-installed Apple Configurator app. However, the American tech giant is planning to change this inconvenient process and make it more effective for users.
New in macOS Sonoma: You can now use one Mac to revive or restore another Mac that's in DFU mode right from Finder.
Previously you needed to install Apple Configurator to do this but now it's built in!

Eventually, Apple users would be able to restore a Mac device in DFU mode with macOS 14 software, using the Mac-to-Mac restoration process right from the Finder app. It’s similar to the Configurator app without the need for additional software. Just connect two Macs over a USB-C cable, and follow the same steps.
