Samsung Galaxy Note 20 smartphone users have started obtaining a new software update, which installs the latest May 2023 Android security patch.  The users of the Note 20 device are currently enjoying the features and optimizations of the major Android 13-based One UI 5.1 software version.

Samsung is also developing One UI 5.1.1 and One UI 6.0 as the next iteration of One UI for Galaxies. But, unfortunately, the consumers of the Galaxy Note 20 models will not obtain the functionalities of the upcoming Android 14 operating system and have to stick to the same One UI 5.1 uprooted on Android 13.

The all-new May 2023 security patch for Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra devices has arrived with One UI build version N981BXXS6HWE2 / N980FXXS6HWE2 and N986BXXS6HWE2 / N985FXXS6HWE2 respectively. Also, the update carries a massive package of around 208.5G megabytes.

Moving on, this new firmware will ensure improved protection against harmful threats, viruses, and other safety-related issues, by fixing more than 58 CVEs from Google and 21 SVEs from Samsung software. In addition, it will also improve the core mechanism of the system and offer a better user experience.

Hence, the patch will allow consumers to operate their Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra devices more seamlessly and enjoy the offerings of One UI 5.1 accurately, without any disruption. Consequently, the firmware is initially rolling out in Brazil and will expand to more users in the coming days or weeks.
