The latest Android 13-based MIUI 14 major software update is now available for Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition models in China. This new software comes with various cosmetics and performance-related changes and improvements to make your user experience more appropriate.
With MIUI 14 more than 30 scenes support end-to-end privacy with no data stored in the cloud and all actions performed locally on the device. Furthermore, the Mi Smart Hub now gets revamped and works much faster than before, and supports more devices.
The new family service has also been upgraded to share various benefits, including the newly added family photo album, family screen saver, and video or touch screen speakers. It also added support for up to eight family members, and roles such as children and guardians can be assigned.
Furthermore, the Mi AI is no longer just a voice assistant. You can use it as a scanner, translator, call assistant, and more. It allows you to perform complicated daily tasks by using simple voice commands. The Search in Settings is now more advanced, with search history and categories in results, everything looks much crisper now.
Therefore, the functionalities of MIUI 14 didn’t conclude here, there is much more that users will enjoy once after upgrading their device to the latest version. Notably, the update also brings March 2023 Android security patch for improved system security and reliability.
Moving on, the MIUI 14 update for Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition has arrived with the build version V14.0.1.0.TMSCNXM. It also carries a massive software package that weighs up to 6.9 Gigabytes. Hence, the corresponding device owners must opt for a stable Wi-Fi connection over regular mobile data.
As usual, the update is rolling out gradually and is currently live in China. Users can install the patch manually. To do so, visit the Settings of your phone. Next, open the About phone and tap on the MIUI version. Further, click on the Check for the updates, and for the available software, click on the Download tab.
Note – Don’t forget to back up all important items before upgrading. The update process might take longer than usual. Also, expect overheating and other performance issues after you update. Thus, it might take some time for your device to adapt to the new version. Remember that some third-party apps aren’t yet compatible with Android 13 and you might not be able to use them normally.
