Android 12 is now out, still, there are some devices that haven’t received the Android 11 update. Recently, the Chinese tech giant – Xiaomi has begun rolling out the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 operating system for Redmi 9T smartphones globally.
As this is a major software update, it brings a bunch of new features, changes, and improvements to the device. Android 11 comes with new chat bubbles, capture & share content, built-in screen recording, easier select & share, smart reply, device controls, one-time permission, permission auto reset, etc.

Whereas, the MIUI 12.5 brings several new wallpapers, live wallpapers, sounds, animations, better privacy, updated applications, a new user interface, and others. It makes the phone lighter, faster, and durable when compared to previous versions.

You can get the download links for the update below but if you want to install it manually, head over the Settings of your smartphones. Now click on System Updates > Download and Install. Once installed, Restart your phone, and you are done.
Do note that this update has been currently only rolled out for Mi Pilot testers. The stable update will be released after the company ensures its security and stability. As of now, we do not recommend other users download and install the current build.
